The Quality Care Your Pet Deserves
My name is Jane Duncan. I am self-employed and provide Pet Care. I offer dog walking as individual or companion walks, (no pack walks), limited doggie daycare, drop in cat visits, drop in dog visits, coordinate and supervise pup playdates in your home, dog or cat overnight sits in your home, and I administer medication. Luckily for my clients, I love sleeping in my own bed unless I'm on an overnight pet sit, so I don't ever travel. The exception to this is when my clients fly/car service me to destination weddings or vacations. Knowing their pups are safe and happy with me, my clients can fully relax, and they can also see them any time they want to.
I cater to each dog or cats needs and wants, as well as catering to moms and dads busy schedules and last minute requests. I have over 20 years of experience. I have excellent references. I live at 12th and Washington Streets. (West Village, Manhattan). I also fill in for a lot of people in the petcare industry on short notice. Services
I grow to love my clients pets as much as my own. I feel truly lucky to be able to get fresh air and exercise while caring for your pet. Dogs and cats really are some of my best friends and they make my day brighter, every day. I update frequently with photos, videos, and have excellent communication skills. After all our pets don't have a voice so communication is key.
Dog Walking
My Dog Walking service allows you to make sure your pet is well taken care of, even when you’re not around. I believe the ideal walk consists of basic leash training, socialization (if the pup isn't reactive), a potty break and lots of good sniffling. Reserve my time and relax knowing your pet is in the best possible hands.
Pet Care In My Home Daycare
I only have this service for existing clients. I only offer three spots at a time, and usually have a wait list. Also my cat and existing long term clients dog vet any potential new pups. This service includes two walks included in pick up and drop off, a relief walk, lots of cuddles, and to be honest, the pups don't generally play. They spend most of the day with my boyfriend who works from home and chilling on our king size bed just snuggling and sleeping on my million pillows.

Drop In Cat Visits
I adore cats. I'm a dog person and a cat person. My cats name is Yoshi. He's in the featured photo. I think it's so much fun building a relationship with a new kitty in his/her home. I love playing with and snuggling with cats. But I also respect their boundaries and let them hide or do their own thing. With cats I let them call the shots as to how close they want to get. After all, I'm a guest in their home.
Overnight Cat 0r Dog Sitting In Your Home
Don’t feel guilty about leaving your pet alone. My At Home Pet Care service gives your pet maximum care, even when you can’t be there. I absolutely love spending time with pups and kitties in their own environment. This gives me an opportunity to get to know them really well. I find it such an honor when people trust me with their homes and their fur babies.
Doggy Drop in Vsits Or Playdates In Your Home
Regardless of your pet’s breed, age or behavior, each of my services can be curated to fit their specific needs — no matter how unique. If your pup has separation anxiety, or you'd like a date night or to run errands, I'm happy to keep your pup company, snuggle and play, add walks, coordinate a playdate or have you coordinate one in your home. I charge my regular hourly rate for this service.

Jane is an excellent pet care taker who goes above and beyond! She has taken care of my cat Luca several times. She was willing to learn how to administer Luca’s medication and all the other details involved in his specific care. Jane is also extremely attentive to detail, and will let you know if anything is wrong or needs to be adjusted while she’s caring for your pet. She has adjusted the temperature of the apartment when it’s too hot, and has noticed when the automatic feeder needs to be refilled. Jane also sends me photos of Luca while I am away, which I greatly appreciate. Lastly, Jane is a genuine animal lover, and Luca took very quickly to liking her 😻 overall, I’d highly recommend Jane’s services.
HUDSON
Jane is truly the best. She cares for Hudson, my 2yo cavapoo, like he is her own. She feeds him, walks him multiple times a day, schedules playdates for him, cuddles with him, takes him around NYC, loves him, and more! She really caters to both his and my needs. I get daily updates with pictures included. :) He has made so many friends since starting daycare with Jane and always has a blast. I trust Jane with my life!

Jane responded to my call for help when I was in an emergency crisis over pet care. She jumped right in and totally saved the day! MEi-MEi
Jane has been such an amazing addition to my dog Mei Meis life! It’s been incredibly difficult to find a reliable caretaker in NYC and Jane and Jacob truly never disappoint. She’s incredibly flexible with walk times. Mei Mei also has stayed with Jane over night and for day care. Jane provides such detailed updates and photos. Mei Mei is a timid rescue pup who requires some extra TLC at times, and I know she gets the best care when she’s with Jane and Jacob. I highly recommend her services!

ELLA
Jane has been a dependable and trustworthy dog walker for Ella. Ella is a senior and while in good health, has flare ups with arthritis as well as the occasional upset stomach. Jane’s many years of experience have been helpful in not only walking but caring for Ella, and informing us of any observations which I’ve appreciated immensely. She is on time, sweet, and above all else Ella loves her.

Jane took care of my Frenchie Charlie for over 3 years while we lived in NYC (starting when she was just a few months old!) and is one of the VERY few people that I've ever trusted with my pup. She is loving, patient, flexible, and always went above and beyond to take care of her - on several occasions even putting Charlie's needs above her own. From walks, to overnights, to vet visits - she did it all!
I’ve only written one other review in the 15 years - that’s how strongly I would recommend Jane. Charlie loves her and so do I!!
DUMBLEDORE
Jane has been taking care of our dog Dumbledore for 7 years now and does a really great job, and I’d enthusiastically recommend her for anyone looking for walking / sitting services for your dogs or cats. She’s very experienced and incredibly sweet and caring and has really developed a relationship with our pup (and us too). She’s an animal lover (she has her own pets) always been reliable, responsive, and respectful, and she lets me know if something ever seems off with our little guy and gives him his medicines when keeping him overnight. We’ve come to truly trust and rely on her. Jane lives in the West Village, so can be very flexible about timing / last minute needs or overnights.
BAGEL
I can’t say enough great things about Jane! When she first met our dog, Bagel, she made a great effort to let Bagel get to know her before her first walk. Bagel does not trust many people to take her out so I was happily surprised when Bagel trotted after Jane the first night. Bagel now greets Jane with a tail wag and follows her right out. Jane is always prompt, communicates the schedule and will send adorable photos and videos of your pup. I know Bagel’s safety and well being is top priority and Jane would do anything for our sweet girl. I would highly recommend Jane’s services!!!

TRUFFLES
We feel so lucky that Jane takes care of our pup when we are at work because I know he is getting the absolute best care and having the best time. Jane noticed that Truffles was dehydrated and let us know, we did not even realize it and he ended up at the vet in need of fluids. She is on top of it and giving her 100% attention. He has medical needs and can't walk with just anyone and we know he is so happy & safe with Jane.
